Give It A Go 2018

Give It A Go sessions have been introduced to a number of the Sports Clubs. The idea is to come along and try out the various clubs before you make the decision to join. So if you're confused in any way about what we do, then just Give It A Go!

Regretfully, there will be no Give It A Go sessions in Autumn Semester 2018

Beginners are always welcome at TENSHINKAN KARATE. Check the Training Sessions page of this site or our - Sports Union page - for details of training times.
Whether you want to learn self defence, get/keep fit, participate in competitions, or just meet new people, you will find we cater for everyone. You won't need a gi (karate suit) straight away! Any form of loose clothing (sweats, tracksuit, sweatpants + t-shirt) will do, but if you decide to carry on with training you will feel more comfortable with the proper kit.

We normally separate beginners from experienced members to begin with, just to break them in gently. Most beginners find the shorter session on Wednesday a little easier at first, but if you do wish to take things seriously, you really need to come along to all sessions. The other major benefit of coming along to all sessions is the socialising we tend to do just after. A nice, cool, refreshing drink and a chat to instructors and members is a weekly event - normally on Fridays. Of course there's also the traditional (and legendary - check out some of the pics on the Gallery page) Karate Club pub crawls, either through Bridge of Allan or Stirling, but other locations will be considered.
Finally, registered and past members are welcome to join our closed FaceBook group where we share important and fun facts about the club and other activities.
